How to wire three light bath bar fixture?
by admin on Wednesday, March 24th, 2010 | 9 Comments
Installing a 3 light bath bar above mirror. Each light has 3 wires coming out behind it…black, white, ground.
Wires are not long enough to meet at middle where outlet box is. Have 3 wire groups coming out of junction box..2 red twisted together, ditto 2 white, and ditto 2 black. One switch for fixture. How do I wire this?
Thank you.
In this arrangement, the red is probably the wire coming from the switch. But normally there would be only one red wire. Is there another light connected to this switch? If so, confirm that this is the switch circuit by separating the two red wires and see if the the other light now does not light.
The best way to check this out is to use a test meter, however, if the second light (or fan) no longer goes on and off, then the red wire is definitely coming from the switch. This red circuit will be the hot side for your triple bath fixture (the three black wires). The white wires should all go to the white wires in the junction box.
Be sure to connect the ground wires of the light fixture to the jbox using a ground clamp of some sort. If you are unsure of how to confirm the source of the switch circuit, and you don’t have a meter, consult an electrician before hooking up anything.
you will have to find out which of these wires come from the switch.
extend that wire and tie it to the black on the fixture. extend the white
any questions just email me.
You went all out with the bathroom fixtures and forgot to budget for the mirror, so you chose a simple beveled or plain glass mirror with no trim. You’re not skimping on your bathroom lighting budget, which means you have a perfect chance to jazz up that plain mirror. Here are few ideas from our bathroom lighting guide: • Art deco bathroom light bathbar for a plain bathroom mirror
* Crystal bathbars (such as the James R. Moder Princess design and sleek nickel-and-glass lights) around bathroom mirrors.
* Wide Kathy Ireland cuatro wall sconces on opposite sides of the wall.
* Bathroom light fixtures with metal vines.
* Streamlined “side sconces” to fit the bathroom mirror.
* Contemporary or “swoop” collection bathroom light wall sconces.
Tip: Bathroom light wall sconces should be 3 to 4 feet apart on the wall in order to light both sides of your face. A plain mirror or one with minimal trim can give you more freedom to experiment with lighting options. See, you didn’t make a budget error after all!
I just wanted to confirm that besides painting the ECM bracket, you also painted the actual ECM unit? I thought I heard that in your video? I have been recently getting a U1000 ODB2 trouble code which a service bulletin says it could most likely be ECM groundwire cables that need cleaning on terminals and where it attaches to body on 2005 nissan quest or it could be the ECM itself. All I know it it has a semi hard time at time turning when you the vehicle, and at times a clicking noise
Yeah, I bought this buckethead killswitch off of ebay and I tried it in 2 different guitars and i get the exact same thing!

it takes brains to do that. got to keep the voltage up(having the right power as in batteries, alt, and power/ground wires so it can feed the amp properly, and the amp running smooth that powers the sub smooth), have the amp tuned so it wont clip, being able to make the right wiring, and praying that it will not blow. lol it aint easy at first though.
